Eating good food on the cheap
I'm a firm believer that eating nutritious, healthy, tasty food is not any more expensive than buying packaged, processed or unhealthy food. This article is an interesting discussion of this. I think Mark Bittman is great and has written a couple of excellent cookbooks. I believe he is right that you don't need a lot to get cooking. Cooking and eating healthy does take a little more effort and planning. But once you get used to it, it becomes part of your routine and you won't go back to eating the processed, unhealthy foods. The food tastes better, is more satisfying and makes you feel better. It can help you lose a few extra pounds and possibly get rid of some health problems. Try it... you might like it! I always say do the best you can and what will work for you. It's worked for me and I love eating my fresh (and local) fruits and veggies.

A fun night on the North Shore
It's summer time and that means beach!!

This was fun to do... Some tasty sand and fun ocean water. Who wouldn't love this cake? Oh by the way it's both dairy and gluten free and got good reviews.
Are you Over the Hill?
This was a fun cake to do for a birthday celebration. A nice joke I would say! Do you have allergies or dietary restrictions and want something fun? We can do it here at Diamond Baking Co. Gluten free, vegan, dairy free... it can look fun and make your friends and family laugh. Of course, the taste is there too. So go out and celebrate with a fun cake!
Arr... matey find the treasure!
This was a cute fun cake for a pirate treasure theme birthday! Anyone find the treasure?? Was it the egg free cake that the birthday girl could enjoy??

Another wedding cake
Here's another wedding cake for the book. I actually happened to be attending this wedding, so I was fortunate to have many people come up to me to complement the cake. It was a chocolate cake with a layer of caramel ganache and vanilla buttercream. Thanks for all the complements! The bride chose the heart theme and loved the ribbons as well.
Jumbos Jumbos everywhere!
Recently, it looked like the circus was in town and the elephants were marching all over my tables!! All 300 were perfectly lined up and looking like they were ready to march into town. Well, fortunately these elephants are the sweet, edible kind. They were made for student appreciation week at Tufts University where the mascot is Jumbo. I hear they were much appreciated and much loved by everyone. Thanks!
